It’s only fitting that we’re going to see The Lorax movie with friends tonight – after all it is Dr. Seuss’ birthday.
To get us in the mood, I thought I’d scour the web for some of the more popular eBook versions of Dr. Seuss’ fabulous books. Who does not remember reading 'The Cat in the Hat', 'Green Eggs and Ham' and ‘Horton Hears a Who!’? One of my daughter's first books was “Are you my Mother?’ and Mr. Grinch was the first TV character to scare her to pieces at the age of 4 (that made for a fun Christmas, I can tell you).
The Lorax
Let’s start with The Lorax. This Dr. Seuss classic can be experienced in any of three reading modes: Read to Me, Read it Myself, or Auto Play. The eBook is filled with fun music, sound effects and and professional narration and it gives justice to the original illustrations from the classic book.

The Sneetches
The Sneetches is probably our favorite Dr Suess book – my daughter had me read the book over and over again. To jog your memory this is the book about the star-bellied sneetches and the plain-bellied sneetches. The moral of this story still sticks with my 8 year-old daughter as she wrangles with playground politics. Developed by the same company, it features the same reading modes and fun features as The Lorax.

The Foot Book
Who thought that reading about feet could be this much fun? Definitely for the younger readers, this app brings the creativity and humor of Dr. Seuss to digital life. The foot is taught in rhymes, opposites, sizes and more by allowing kids to touch the objects on each page and having the words pop up to tell you what that object is.
