This workbook focuses on spelling:
Sight words at the grade 2 level, such as almost, outside and something.
Short and long vowel words.
R-controlled words, such as tiger, sharp and orbit.
Consonant blend words, such as swift, left and craft.
Silent letter words, such as light, because and knee.
Structure of the workbook
Each section starts with exercises to practice tracing, writing and rewriting a set of words, such as party, award and molar.
Following those worksheets, we combine the sets of words into four pages of spelling exercises. Here are two example pages:
