Regular verbs
For example, a logical way to conjugate a verb would be to follow a standard pattern:
wash, washed, washed or talk, talked, talked.
These are called regular verbs.
Irregular verbs
There are verbs that don’t conjugate using this standard pattern. They’re called irregular verbs and many happen to be verbs that are used often. For example:
go, went, gone or do, did, done.
